DESCRIPTION
A-SV1, A-188 – Storm Valve – Plug Type
The A-SV1 is run above a compression set packer and provides a means of disconnecting the drill pipe or tubing close to the surface without tripping the entire string. It is especially useful in cased where the rig must be abandoned quickly. The Storm Valve securely remains in closed position, until the tubing or drill pipe is re-connected.
