A-HRP3-FT, A-248 – Hydraulic Retrievable Packer-Feed Thru
The A-HRP3-FT packer is available either straight pull shear or cut to release configuration, with multiple control line bypass intended to be the uppermost packer in intelligent well completions where zonal isolation with line bypass is typically a requirement. The packer provides feed through capability where gauges, chemical injection and such systems may be placed below the packer. The Packer does not require any mechanical manipulation of the production string allowing for setting of the packer hydraulically after installation of the wellhead.
The Packer is run to the desired depth and a predetermine pressure is applied to the packer which shears the shear pins and sets the Packer.
The packer is released by either applying upstrain to shear the screws, which can be adjusted at the field or in another variation retrieved with a tubing cutter to cut the inner mandrel and straight pick up/POOH.
