Hydraulic Release Running Tool

DESCRIPTION

A-HRT, A-012 – Hydraulic Release Running Tool

The Hydraulic Release Running Tool is used in highly deviated wells, where manipulation of the work string to release the tool is difficult. Primary hydraulic release does not require rotation to be released from the liner, thereby making it optimal for such applications. The A-HRT has machined clutch profile and rotary tool joint connections, which enable high-torque transmission and compressive loads from the running string to the liner for reaming a liner to bottom through badly sloughing formations.

If a rotating liner hanger is deployed, the A-HRT can be used to rotate the liner after the liner hanger is set.

The running tool is equipped with a secondary mechanical-release mechanism to ensure its release from the liner. The mechanical release is actuated by applying a quarter left-hand turn at the tool and by placing the tool in compression.

The A-HRT can be used to run liner hanger systems with or without the Liner Top Packers

FEATURES

  • Backup Mechanical release
  • Field adjustable shear release pressure.

BENEFITS

  • Capable of rotating liner during running-in, facilitates drill down applications
  • Improved cement integrity by allowing rotation of the liner after setting.
  • Backup mechanical release mechanism allows tool retrieval in case of difficult well conditions.
  • Liner can be rotated aggressively down or up while circulating to wash liner through difficult hole sections

APPLICATIONS

  • High deviation wells
  • reaming a liner to bottom through badly sloughing formations
  • Rotation of the liner after setting the Hanger

Available in sizes to run all required sizes of Liner Hangers. Furnished with End connections (Standard Tool joint and premium) to meet customer’s requirements.
