DESCRIPTION
A-SLST, A-048– Snap Latch Setting Tool
The A-SLST is designed to allow for Cementing thru a Wireline or Mechanical Cement Retainer and to mechanically set the BP/CR.
It features a Snap-in/Snap-Out sub that connects with the body of the BP/CR and a Stinger Sub (In case of Cement Retainers). The Tool allows for the BP/ CR to be set mechanically.
When the Stinger Sub is used, a slack off 400 lbs. will shift the Latch Sleeve on the CR open and allow for Cementing and picking up the string by 2” shall close the sleeve. The tool is equipped with an internal stop that prevents the Stinger from Unlatching from the Sleeve.
